We're only half way through the work week. Today was about catching up on ideas and getting inspired by the latest issue of Vogue. Adele of course looked stunning in her shoot. Above, is just a snap shot of today. Now for some Gilt shopping and a movie by the fireplace.

I figured for a change I'd give you a few preview shots of what I wore to the event. 

Although the theme was colour, I skipped on wearing this seasons neons and went for a more subtle approach sticking with basic blacks because I have been dying to wear this fringe detail, chiffon, shawl I bought back at home; worn with my all time fav. Forever21 pleather shorts and Halebob wedges.

Tala's Mom, Lina, rocked a stunning maxi-length sheer polka-dot skirt, layered over a black mini.

My work week just started over here in Dubai as the weekend is Friday/Saturday here. So the dreaded Mondays have turned into Sundays and Wednesday is no longer half way through the work week... I have to admit it still feels a little weird to think I have to wake up and go to work early on a Sunday - but it does make Mondays a little easier. So with that being said, while it's 12:45 in the afternoon at home on the East coast - it's 9:45pm here in Dubai and I'm winding down and relaxing, getting ready to head to bed!

It's every now and again that we have those break through moments and decide to just up and change a few things here and there - We like to keep it FRESH! 

So after "one ounce" of inspiration... which we both stumbled upon separately, we came to the conclusion that this minor change would be something you would enjoy!

Hello stud-muffin! Mixing feminine-flirty with masculine edge, this spike-happy trend has me crushing hard. My newly found FAVOURITE shop at the Dubai Mall  (S*uce) has a serious collection of jewellery and bags all adorned with these fabulous little monsters. 

What are you thinking? Love it or hate it? ....I'm not all that sure how you could dislike this amazing trend but - to each their own. I promise you it won't be long before I snatch up one of those friendship bracelets. Talk about hotness! [and I'm not really even a fan of that word.]

Valentine's Day. 

Only the best time of the year to show your friends and your loved ones how much you love and cherish them. This year, I've chosen to take a simple and more fun approach to this special day with these adorable blabla dolls, Papyrus cards, and the cutest cupcake glossies that I picked up at my local craft store. Take this time to appreciate the love you get from others, but most especially from those closest to you. Tomorrow is the big day. What will you do?

While Criss was attending the IFB conference back in the states Wednesday night, I was busy in Dubai  attending my first official event as {Mal of malandcriss.com}, snapping pictures at S*uce's exclusive Valentine's event featuring Lady Fozaza blazers in collabs with Bow by Amanda. The event was [presh] to say the least. Greeted by cupcakes and pink lemonade, guests were able to customize their own Lady Fozaza/Bow blazer with silver studding. Studs were everywhere Wednesday night, adorned by blazers, bags and posed as the "cherry on top" for the cutest little cupcakes I've ever laid eyes on. 

Oh and did I mention... the blazers were designed with cut-out hearts on the back of each - adorable. The event was the perfect fashionable tribute to Valentine's Day!
