Finally, I have the latest window to share with you! I always try to change up what the color scheme and style are for each display... and this time, simply one dress sparked an idea! The center dress bursting with brilliantly bright colors made me think of how [especially in the South] girls wear their brightest brights out at night in the summertime. With the idea of all of these bright colors and my indefinite love for black, I styled this window with the concept in mind that maybe these ladies were headed out on the town to some trendy little lounge [the hair, the make-up, and the shoes of course also add that extra spark to each of these looks.. if only I could showcase that as well].
The idea behind a window display is to catch the eye of the customers walking by to make them wonder what else you have to offer at the store... Although I can't get overly creative with these window displays with props, window clings and graphics, I think the colors in this window was catchy enough to do the job!
I don't always feel like I can really express my sense of style in these windows because, lets be real, the windows aren't for me - they are for the target audience shopping at the boutique. So each window may have a bit of my own style, but for the most part, my goal is to attract the customers who shop there... With that being said - I {can not wait!} for you to see the looks from the latest photo-shoot Criss and I just worked on. [our first ever photo-shoot as Mal and Criss] The shoot was conceptualized, styled, photographed and edited, [completely] by Mal and Criss.
I was like a little girl in a candy shop putting together the outfits/styling the hair. Our model, Samonica is amazing to work with, she's so easy going, and although we were all extremely tired, she worked through the entire day smiling the entire way! So enough chatter, I need to seal my little lips and let you remain curious about the rest! Just know that we have some seriously fabulous pictures to present to you... give us a little time to get them edited [we took 500 pictures total] and we will soon have them posted to Mal and Criss for all of our sweet readers.
xoxo,
Mal
